WE WON!
On the last weekend of September 2023, I went to Sydney with my family to attend the Australian Women's Small Business Championships within the Beauty category. Amongst over 4,000 applicants and 25 semi-finalists, Beauty in the Woods was awarded the winner for Beauty Services!
If I'm being honest, I was in complete shock! The Beauty Services category was left till last in the evening & by then, I had talked myself out of the possibility of winning; there were some amazing other applicants. After reading all the applicants out, Beauty in the Woods was read last (which in my head means the last person read out never wins). But then they called out Beauty in the Woods as the winner of the Beauty category... safe to say I hadn't quite nailed my acceptance speech through all my nerves, but nonetheless, I was incredibly excited!
I feel incredibly proud of where Beauty in the Woods is today, my 19 year old self would never have thought this venture would eventually lead to winning a national award in Sydney!
This award would not be possible without my amazing staff, friends and family! Beauty in the Woods has always been more than just a business to me and it is these people that have helped build it to where it is today.
And of course, a huge thanks to YOU and the incredible community of Beauty in the Woods clients and followers! The ongoing love and support you give us is why we get to do what we love every day!
This has definitely been a highlight of my career so far & I know there is much more to come!
