What is a lash lift?
A lash lift is very similar to a perm but gives a more lifted, eye opening look rather than an over-curled outdated perm. The brand Yumi is a keratin based lash lift solution therefore it wont damage your lashes like other lift solutions can. The four steps do this treatment include placing silicon rods on your eyelids, then glueing, lifting and separating each individual lash onto the rods. Followed by the lifting solution, then the setting solution to lock the lashes! You'll also receive a complimentary lash tint with this service to make sure the lashes look as full and long as possible, then lastly a nourishing lash serum is applied to lock in nourishment and hydration. All up the treatment takes around 45 minutes and once you've tried it you'll be hooked!
What kind of result can you expect?
This will vary from client to to client, but most will achieve a fuller, much longer and lifted appearance that drastically opens up the eye area. I promise you'll be surprised how much of a huge difference it can make!
Can anyone have a lash lift?
Definitely! This treatment is perfect for pretty much everyone no matter how long or short your lashes are! Especially clients with straight or downward facing lashes will hugely benefit from this.
How long will it last?
Lash lifts will last anywhere between 6 - 12 weeks depending on your lashes. Eyelashes grow and naturally fall out in a lash cycle every 2-3 months. Normally around week 3-4 you may notice new straight lashes growing in among the previously lifted lashes and once they begin to fully drop you'll probably want to look at rebooking your next lift!
What's the aftercare?
Most important thing is to make sure you don't get them wet for the first 24 hours after the treatment. This will make sure the treatment is it's most effective and lasts as long as it should. Also avoid mascara, steam and heavy eye products for 24 hours.
Apart from that they're extremely easy to maintain and very low maintenance! Just ensure you’re using a good mascara so you aren’t drying out your lashes and its suggested to use a lash serum or castor oil if you feel like your lashes are getting dehydrated. You may also need to brush through your lashes occasionally with a clean mascara wand to seperate and make sure they're sitting up nice and lifted.
Can lash lifts damage my lashes?
Nuh uh! Keratin lash lifts definitely shouldn't damage your lashes provided its performed correctly by a highly trained therapist and good product brands are used. You should however wait atleast 6 to 8 weeks or more between each lift to ensure lashes keep as healthy as possible.
How long can I keep lash lifting for?
Pretty much forever! As long as you’re following aftercare advice and you aren’t re-doing your lifts too soon you can keep lifting every 6-12 weeks. And once you start you're never going to want to stop!
